Dr. Michelle Alexander is a board-certified Medical Review Officer with over 30 years of experience in occupational and environmental medicine. She has held prominent executive leadership roles, including Medical Director at Consolidated Edison of New York, Corporate Medical Director and Chief Medical Review Officer at Sterling Testing Services, and Assistant Vice President of Occupational Health at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority/New York City Transit. She joined Abbott in 2021 as Medical Review Officer & Director of Medical Affairs. Dr. Alexander earned her M.D. from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center. She also holds a B.S. from Florida State University. A recognized industry expert, Dr. Alexander frequently speaks at national conferences, including as a designated MRO speaker for the Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Federal Transit Administration’s National Drug and Alcohol Program Conference. Outside of her professional life, she is a proud mother, avid traveler, skier, sailor, and scuba diver who enjoys meeting new people and exploring new places.
