ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS

SHRM offers standard organization-wide accessibility accommodations for all of its events and programs. For more information about SHRM’s standard accessibility features, please view SHRM’s accessibility policy here. SHRM also reviews and considers all ad hoc requests for additional accessibility & accommodations needs on an individual basis. If you have questions or an accessibility & accommodation beyond our standard features, please complete the accessibility accommodation form in advance of the program to allow us adequate lead time. Please provide detailed information to assist us in meeting your requirements. For all other questions, please contact SHRM Customer Experience at shrm@shrm.org or 800.283.7476.

SHRM Conference offerings include:

ASL (American Sign Language) and CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation)
- ASL interpretation and CART services are available for all Main Stage programming, including General Sessions for attendees. To view CART, refer to the SHRM Events app under FAQs > Accessibility & Accommodations.
Reserved Accessibility & Accommodations Advanced Seating
- We offer a minimum of .05% of the available seats for reserved accessibility & accommodations advanced seating on a first come, first served basis. Chairs will be marked with “Reserved” cloth seat covers and space for wheelchairs and scooters will be marked by wheelchair icon decals on the floor. For assistance, please speak to a SHRM staff or volunteer to usher you to the designated seating areas.
- The entrance to the Main Stage will open 5 minutes prior to general entry for anyone with accessibility needs.
Dietary Restrictions
- Information on dietary restrictions was collected during your registration process. For provided meals, there will be special yellow tents in the meal service areas labeled “Dietary Restrictions.” Anyone who filled out the Accessibility & Accommodations Form during registration and has received pre-event communication from SHRM stating they should visit the Dietary Restrictions tents to receive their special meal should do so during meal times. If your pre-event communication from SHRM stated you can safely eat the provided meals, please visit the normal meal areas during meal time. Please refer to the program schedule for when and where meals are provided. If you have any questions regarding this process, please speak to a SHRM staff member at Registration Assistance.
- If you need to make any additions or changes, you can update them directly in the attendee portal under PROFILE > Badge Info or speak directly with SHRM staff at Registration Assistance during the conference.
Gender Neutral Restrooms
- Gender Neutral restrooms with and without urinals will be located on the Ground Level of outside of Hall A in the San Diego Convention Center. Please refer to the map within the app for directions.
Hotel
- Contact your hotel directly if you need additional accessibility and accommodations within your hotel room.
Lactation Room
- The Lactation Room is located in 27A-B on upper level of the San Diego Convention Center, Presidio Room 1 on the lobby level of the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, and Room 309 on level 3 of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Please refer to the map within the app for directions.
- Available hours are:
  - Saturday, June 28: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  - Sunday, June 29: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  - Monday, June 30: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  - Tuesday, July 1: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  - Wednesday, July 2: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- There will be draping for privacy, an electric power cord, and a shared refrigerator. We do not provide equipment and labels and are not liable for your personal property. Although we strive to provide as much space as possible, there is a limited amount of space available and is based on a first come, first served basis. Please be prepared to wait as usage can take up to 45 minutes to 1-hour.
- If you are staying in a nearby hotel, we also encourage you to utilize the privacy and comfort of your hotel room.
- For future requests, please make sure to complete the SHRM Accommodations & Accessibility form in advance for us to properly reserve enough space for the comfort of all attendees.

- - There are two Low Sensory Rooms available on the SHRM25 campus.

Scooter Rental
- Scooter rental arrangements can be made with the following companies. Please be advised that the San Diego Convention Center does not allow scooter pick up or drop off on location. All scooter arrangements must be made with pick up and drop off made at your hotel.

How do I sign in to the app or attendee portal?
- Sign in with your SHRM credentials associated with the email address used to register for SHRM25.
Does my registration include access to livestream sessions?
- Yes! You automatically get access to livestream General and Breakout Sessions both on the app and attendee portal for up to 30 days postconference (unless otherwise noted).
  - Note: Spotlight Sessions, Wellness Sessions, Roundtable Discussions, Thursday night entertainment, and preconference seminars are in-person only and NOT livestreamed.
How do I watch a livestreamed General or Breakout Session within the app?
- Go to PROGRAM and click on the individual session.
- Click on the “OPEN VIDEO” button and allow time for the session video to load. Please note that load speeds vary based on your internet speed and bandwidth.
- Once the conference is live June 29 – July 2, 2025, you can also easily navigate to livestreamed sessions under PROGRAM > Now Playing via the app or Now Playing via the attendee portal.
How do I access the session chat and Q&A of a livestreamed General or Breakout Session within the app?
- Just like how you would go to watch the livestreamed session, go to PROGRAM and click on the individual session.
- Click on the “OPEN VIDEO” button and allow time for the session video to load. Please note that load speeds vary based on your internet speed and bandwidth.
- To prevent disruption during the in-person session, please mute the volume on your device.

What if I’m experiencing technical issues?
- Doublecheck your bandwidth. We recommend you close all programs on your device and utilize your device data instead of the venue Wi-Fi.
- If you are experiencing issues while onsite during our onsite app support hours, please speak to a representative to help you troubleshoot.
- If you are experiencing issues offsite, please contact SHRM Customer Experience.

ATTIRE

What should I wear to the conference?
- There is no official dress code – just make sure you are comfortable. Most of all, we recommend you wear comfortable shoes!
- While it may be summertime in San Diego, the inside of the convention center will be well cooled so dress accordingly with layers.

ENTERTAINMENT

How do I attend the Tuesday Night Entertainment?

Your full-conference SHRM25 lanyard and badge is your ticket to enter—please wear at all times.

Can I still attend the Tuesday Night Entertainment if I am not a full conference attendee?

Yes, just purchase a Tuesday Night Entertainment ticket for $195 at Registration Assistance.

Can I bring a guest to the Tuesday Night Entertainment?

Yes, you can! Just purchase a ticket for $195 at Registration Assistance.

Are their beverages to purchase during the Tuesday Night Entertainment?

Yes, there is a full bar available.

HEALTH & SAFETY

How can I receive messages from SHRM25 in the event of an emergency?
- Attendees are encouraged to opt-in to receive urgent and emergency messaging from SHRM25 for the duration of the event. These messages may include important instructions and protocols in the event of an emergency to ensure everyone’s safety.
- Subscribe to receive urgent or emergency messaging from SHRM25 by texting “Subscribe SHRM” to 848-261.

How can I request help or report an incident during the conference?
- Text “ALERT SHRM” to 848-261 to be connected directly with SHRM25’s Command Center.
- Sending this alert will allow you to communicate via phone call, text and picture message with the SHRM25 Command Center until your issue is resolved.

Why did I receive a text message from a 10-digit phone number after I texted “ALERT SHRM” to 848-261?
- If you need security assistance and have texted “ALERT SHRM” to 848-261 you will receive a text message from a 10-digit phone number which allows you to provide more information regarding your issue.
- In addition to texting the Command Center at the 10-digit number, you may also call the number to speak with the SHRM Command Center over the phone.

What types of incidents should I be reporting to the SHRM25 Command Center?
- Report anything from medical issues, lost & found, suspicious behavior, suspicious packages, and anything that may require assistance from security.
- If you see something suspicious, it is important to say something.

What are the health and safety measures SHRM has in place for this year’s event?
- SHRM will continue to follow the guidance of The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as it relates to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases along with state, local and venue requirements to meet safely.
- If you are not feeling well prior to or during a SHRM conference, we encourage you to utilize the SHRM Events app and attendee portal to livestream sessions and participate in the conference.
- Attendees have access to the mobile app and attendee portal for 30 days post-conference. Is there an EMT onsite at the convention center?
- First Aid is located on the ground floor of the San Diego Convention Center outside of Hall A.

LOST & FOUND

Is there a lost and found in the San Diego Convention Center?
- If you find a lost item or have lost one of your personal belongings, please visit Registration Assistance outside of Hall D on the Ground Level of the San Diego Convention Center.

NETWORKING

Is there a hashtag for the event?
- Yes, we encourage you to share your experience on social media using the hashtag #SHRM25!
Will there be networking opportunities?
- We recommend connecting with other attendees on the SHRM25 app and attendee portal before and during the conference!
  - Complete your profile for filter by networking categories and start chats with fellow attendees.
  - Chat in real time during streaming sessions, or in the app and attendee portal by interest, peer group, position level and more.
  - Meet your peers at sessions, Network in the SHRM25 Expo with solution providers, and make new connections over lunch.
Can I schedule a meeting with a sponsor or exhibitor during the conference?

How do I opt out of networking within the attendee portal and app?
- For the attendee portal under PROFILE, go to “Networking Profile & Settings” and click on the pencil icon to the right of your profile box at the top. Go to the tab of “Settings” and here is where you can check or uncheck the box that opts you into networking.
- For the app, under HOME > click on your name > Settings > Attendee List and Messaging, you can control the tabs labeled “Opt-in for attendee list” and “Allow director messages from other attendees.”

Where are the preconference seminars and workshops located?
- Once you have paid and registered for the preconference offering, you will be sent an email which includes location details.
- You can also visit one of the Info Booths or Registration Assistance for location details too.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Airport
- The closest airport is the San Diego International Airport (SAN), which is approximately 4.6 miles or roughly 10 minutes from the conference venue.

Where do I park if I am local and driving to the event?
- If you are local or plan to drive, parking is available at the San Diego Convention Center.

Is SHRM providing shuttle bus transportation to the event?
- Yes! You can hitch a ride on the SHRM25 Shuttle powered by Paycom. Find the detailed schedule and map on the SHRM25 attendee portal and Conference App under MAP.'

Are there other transportation options available?
- You can e-hail and e-pay with the RideYellow app. Credit cards are accepted in all taxis.
- Uber and Lyft are very prominent and accessible in San Diego. Make sure you download the apps if you don’t have them already to request a ride.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDITS (PDCS)

Will I earn PDCs for attending SHRM25?
- Yes, full conference attendees will receive 28 Professional Development Credits for attending SHRM25.
  - We can only award PDCs for SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP recertification. Please check directly with your certification provider to see if you can claim other credits.
- If you have any questions related to certification, please email the SHRM Certification team at certification@shrm.org.

REGISTRATION & BADGE PICK-UP

Where can I pick up my badge and conference bag?
- There are multiple Badge Pickup locations available to pick up your badge, including outside of Hall A, outside of Hall D, and outside of Hall H in the San Diego Convention Center, the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, and both terminals (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) of the San Diego Airport (SAN). The hours of all locations will vary.

- You can check-in and get your badge by entering in the email address you used to register with at any Badge Pickup location. If you have any issues, visit Registration Assistance located outside of Hall D.
- For security, each individual badge needs to be picked up by the individual attendee and cannot be picked up by a representative from your organization.
Can I have my SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credentials on my badge?
- The option was provided upon registering to include SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP credentials which will transfer to your displayed badge information. If you do not have your SHRM credential on your badge and would like for it to be added, please see a SHRM staff member at Registration Assistance who can assist with the request. For all SHRM events, our conference badges will only feature SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP certifications. We thank you for your understanding.

What do I do if I’ve lost my badge and/or lanyard?
- Visit Registration Assistance to report your lost badge/lanyard and to receive a replacement. Please be advised that badge reprints are a $50 fee.
What is the cancellation policy?
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing via our Conference Transfers and Cancellation Form. For the full policy, please click here.

SESSION INFORMATION

What sessions are livestreamed or available to watch later?
- All General Sessions and Breakout Sessions unless marked “Live Only” are available to be watched live or later.
How long can I watch sessions post-conference?
- You can watch sessions on the app and attendee portal for up to 30 days post-conference.
Are there any handouts of the agenda for me to use?
- We encourage our attendees to use the SHRM25 app and/or attendee portal to plan their schedule and view the conference agenda.
Where do I find session materials?
- If the session speakers provided us with materials, you can download available session materials within the conference app and attendee portal. Navigate to each individual session page to download.

How do I take a session survey?
- In order to take an individual session survey, add the session to your Schedule for surveys to appear under the Surveys tab within the app and attendee portal, or you can check each individual session for the survey link.

- The conference takes place across three venues:

Is there a meeting room for attendees?
- There is no reserved meeting space for attendees to use inside the San Diego Convention Center. Please use the rounds in the SHRM spaces as well as lounge areas throughout the event.

Will there be free internet connection inside the conference space of the San Diego Convention Center?
- Yes, we will provide Wi-Fi for our attendees.
