
ACCESSIBILITY & ACCOMMODATIONS
SHRM offers standard organization-wide accessibility accommodations for all of its events and programs. For more information about SHRM’s standard accessibility features, please view SHRM’s accessibility policy here. SHRM also reviews and considers all ad hoc requests for additional accessibility & accommodations needs on an individual basis. SHRM Conference offerings include:

- Reserved Accessibility & Accommodations Advanced Seating
- We offer a minimum of .05% of the available seats for reserved accessibility & accommodations advanced seating on a first come, first served basis. Chairs will be marked with “Reserved” cloth seat covers and space for wheelchairs and scooters will be marked by wheelchair icon decals on the floor. For assistance, please speak to a SHRM staff or volunteer to usher you to the designated seating areas.
- The entrance to the Main Stage will open 5 minutes prior to general entry for anyone with accessibility needs.
- Dietary Restrictions
- Information on dietary restrictions was collected during your registration process. For provided meals, there will be special yellow tents in the meal service areas labeled “Dietary Restrictions.” Anyone who filled out the Accessibility & Accommodations Form during registration and has received pre-event communication from SHRM stating they should visit the Dietary Restrictions tents to receive their special meal should do so during meal times. If your pre-event communication from SHRM stated you can safely eat the provided meals, please visit the normal meal areas during meal time. Please refer to the program schedule for when and where meals are provided. If you have any questions regarding this process, please speak to a SHRM staff member at Registration Assistance.
- If you need to make any additions or changes, you can update them directly in the attendee portal under PROFILE > Badge Info or speak directly with SHRM staff at Registration Assistance during the conference.

- What should I wear to the conference?
- There is no official dress code – just make sure you are comfortable. Most of all, we recommend you wear comfortable shoes!
- While it may be summertime in San Diego, the inside of the convention center will be well cooled so dress accordingly with layers.
