After We Fail: Why HR Decisions Die Before They Fly [1875]
As an HR leader, have you ever participated in a strategy meeting where you supported an exciting new – but expensive – change for the company, only to realize afterward you’re not a key decision-maker? Or you just finished presenting a groundbreaking idea that failed to impress leadership. Now what? Learn how to get the right decision-makers in the right place – and how to pump life back into a decision that’s DOA.
Session Type: Breakout Session
Session Tracks: Leadership & Development
Learning Outcome 1: DECISIONS, DECISIONS: Identify viability of strategic and tactical decisions and critical processes for success. Assign responsibility among stakeholders: C-suite, executives, the board, HR or you? What is personal, organizational or individual?
Learning Outcome 2: KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE: Target decision-makers and know how to prepare powerful presentations they love. Appeal to their ambition. Learn why you never go into a meeting without a plan of how key supporters will push the initiative and overcome objection.
Learning Outcome 3: DO DUE DILIGENCE: Gather key information to earn consensus and deploy stakeholder interviews (and CEO, CFO, CHRO, VPHR), surveys, focus groups and brainstorming sessions to learn where failure will likely occur.
