Civility in Practice: Facilitating Hard Conversations

Civility is a discipline. It is what makes hard conversations possible.

In this interactive roundtable, Rich Tafel takes participants through the working mechanics of facilitating difficult dialogue: political disagreement, identity-based tension, generational friction, and the ordinary moments when a conversation turns. The session runs on practice. Participants bring their own toughest scenarios to the table and leave with facilitation techniques they can use the next day.

This session builds on the business case for civility explored elsewhere in BLUEPRINT and turns that research into skill.
